What are Force Plates?

Force plates are highly sensitive devices that measure ground reaction forces in real time. Our dual force plates capture thousands of data points per second, enabling us to assess subtle differences in how you load, balance, stabilise, and generate force — information that cannot be seen with the naked eye.

What We Measure

Depending on your goal, we can assess a range of movement tasks including squats, jumps, step-downs, single-leg balance, and more. The plates capture:

  • Weight distribution and asymmetry.
  • Center of Pressure (CoP) control.
  • Vertical ground reaction forces.
  • Jump height, force, rate of force development (RFD).
  • Reactive strength index (RSI).
  • Postural sway and stability index.
