“I’ve been testing out the box office product for the last two weeks from Ergonomic Cafe thanks to John Andrews.

It’s a multi functional storage box and useful to enhance your home working setup. It has an integrated laptop stand which is adjustable and it also has the capability to hold a tablet too.

I really like the adjustment in the laptop stand and giving me the confidence to set up my laptop at the right height. Not only that but I really appreciate the storage capability to keep my desk tidy. It’s really light to move around too.

At the end of the day I pack away my laptop and tools inside and place the box under my desk using the two handles either side. This allows me to separate my day from work and life.

I’d personally quite like it if it came in different colours to add to the aesthetic of my work space but otherwise a great product whilst you’re working from home.”

“The BOP was lightweight and easy to manoeuvre when moving spaces during video calls. It was great to be able to stand on calls and move to a quite space if children were on breaks. I even managed to move from the garden to inside during a video call with my phone securely held in the stand. However, I understand, this was entirely at my own risk!

I also love the fact that the stable base of the BOP is waterproof and easily wipeable. It is well suited to outdoor use and can be simply cleaned.

The adjustment in the BOP is exceptional. An incredibly clever design which enables mobile phone, iPad/tablet and laptop use for a range of users of different heights. Video calls are a breeze – no more propping up your device and hoping it doesn’t slip over! With the added bonus of being able to organise your notes and paperwork more efficiently by using the storage base.

The storage base is of a suitable size to store a laptop and A4 documents with its 15”/39cm internal front opening. A 17” screen laptop fits comfortably inside, so too did one of my keyboards and mouse. It is straightforward to pack away your device and notes giving an important separation between work/study and relaxing at the end of the day.

Another well-throughout feature are the two foam-padded cut out handles, making the BOP comfortable to move and carry when storing items.

The BOP also has a slide out document holder, which although appearing a little flimsy on initial look, supports a book very well when placed in it on a flat surface.

Suggestions to Improve:
Although I understand the reasons for a self-assembly product, I do think the initial assembly could be improved for users. Having shared feedback with John, I think the video set up guide via a QR code link on the printed instructions included with the product will hopefully help others.

Some branded information included and maybe some postural advice might be useful – the BOP is awesome. I’d be proud to have developed such a useful, versatile and well thought out product and would love to share information with other like-mined people who I think would find it as helpful.

Overall:
I would 100% recommend the BOP for anyone looking for a brilliantly designed, versatile “agile office/home-learning accessory” which helps improve posture and gets you organised. It is also a time-saver as it functions well and simply. Whether you are a busy parent trying to organise and manage children’s home-schooling activities, actively working from home or working/teaching between home and office/school, the BOP will work for you.

It would be great to be able to buy as a package with a separate keyboard and mouse which fit inside for those who are currently struggling using solely a laptop on a desk or dining table.

I’m grateful for trialling the BOP and ours will be heading off to Uni with our eldest daughter – I think all students would benefit from using a BOP.
